Red Star E-Commerce Logistics, the unit tasked with fulfilling deliveries for E-Commerce merchants, has announced that from Monday October 1st, 2018, it will be making Same-Day deliveries. This means that merchants can have their products delivered to their various customers within the same day. This service is only for deliveries within Lagos.
According to the E-Commerce Manager, Tosin Bolaji-Ibadu, the rise of online sales over the past years has proven that the E-Commerce industry is a viable and sustainable market as it keeps evolving and reinventing itself organically.
“In the recent times, playing in the E-Commerce sector in Nigeria is no longer an online-only affair. The sector has witnessed its fair share of initiatives designed to help serve shoppers better, one of which is the introduction of brick-and-mortar stores there making e-commerce an Omni-channel sales platform.” She added.
Merchants can ship for #850 within Lagos but will be able to do so for as low as #600 for the month October only. After October, shipping will cost #850 for Same-Day deliveries.
This initiative comes after the switch to the new Click & Ship software by the unit. The software allows for quicker treatment of merchant orders.
