The new financial year of Red Star Express Plc began very brightly as the Group Managing Director, Sola Obabori, received a Special recognition award from the Great Ife Alumni Association. The association, which consists of individuals who were educated at the Obafemi Awolowo University, held a special dinner on Friday 29th March, 2019 to celebrate some of its highly distinguished members; Sola Obabori inclusive.
In his acceptance speech, Sola Obabori thanked the association for the award; stating that it is his honour to be recognized of such a prestigious association. “In this room, you have CEOs, Professors and Top Dignitaries who are all associated with this great university. I feel very proud and honoured to be seen as worthy for this kind of recognition. As ever, I will continue to uphold the values of Obafemi Awolowo University and the Great Ife Alumni Association.” He stated.
Other awardees on the night included Professor Sola Aderounmu (President, Nigerian Computer Society), Professor Grace Akinola (Special Adviser on Higher Education, Bursary and Scholarship), Dr. Bisi Anyadike (Former Chairman, Home Branch & Proprietress, Sunshine N/P School, Ile-Ife), Professor Taiwo Asaolu (Former Dean, Faculty of Administration, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife), Chief Sam Nda-Isaiah (Chairman, Leadership Group), Professor Jide Owoeye (Pro-Chancellor, Lead City University, Ibadan), Engineer Kehinde Raji (CEO, Aaraji Construction Company, Osogbo) and Otunba Jide Taiwo (Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of Jadanette Holding)
