It was a splendid day for students of Emerald High School, Gbagada as they paid a visit to Red Star Express Plc on Tuesday 27th November, 2018. The school chose the company as the ideal destibnation point for their excursion trip and were treated to a fun-filled and informative experience during their time within the company premises.
48 students were received from the school, along with their teachers, by the Human Capital Manager, Dare Olori and the Learning & Development Unit, led by Olamide Taiwo. The students were shown around the different units and departments; including the Express Centres, Information Systems Unit, Export Unit, Warehouse, as well as the Debagging Unit at the Operations Hub. Students were greeted by staff members of the visited units, who took time to explain the unique activities in their respective units. Students also asked questions, to which answers were given.
An interactive session followed at the Training Room at the Old Ewu Road facility, where students met with members of the company’s Management team, including Sola Obabori (Group Managing Director, Red Star Express Plc), Charles Ejekam (Divisional Managing Director, Red Star Express), and Frances Akpomuka (Head, Corporate Resources). Students raised various questions about the company, to which answers were well provided.
