Central Securities Clearing System Plc (CSCS) paid a courtesy visit to Red Star Express Plc yesterday to discuss their products and services, as well as possible collaboration areas for both companies. In attendance for CSCS was Dr. Joseph Mekiliuwa (General Manager, Business Development & Corporate Services), Olalekan Eniseyin (Sales & Business Development), and Amalachukwu Obi while Red Star Express Plc was ably represented by Sola Obabori (Group Managing Director, Red Star Express Plc), Victor Ukwat (Executive Director, Sales and Marketing, Red Star Express Plc), Charles Ejekam (Divisional Managing Director, Red Star Express), Frances Akpomuka (Head, Corporate Resources), and Ifunanya Iwuagwu (Legal Coordinator).
The meeting included a presentation of products and services offered by CSCS Plc. They include a Document Management system (which allows documents needing attention, such as memos and forms, can be sent digitally to the personnel concerned), a Pension Management system (that helps to monitor different Pension Service Providers as pensions are being paid and remitted), and the Digitalization of Documents (turning hardcopy documents into softcopy).
Speaking at the meeting, Frances Akpomuka mentioned that the Pension Management system will be useful as there is no way to know if the Pension Service Providers are alerting employees of their pension status regularly. She added that it is a service that should be considered by the company. Sola Obabori was intrigued by the service that converts hardcopy documents to softcopy. He suggested that it presents a collaboration opportunity between CSCS and Red Star Allied Solutions, the subsidiary which has E-Archiving as one of its offering.
