Japanese Automobile Manufacturer, Isuzu Motors, was at the Red Star Express Plc Head Office yesterday to meet with the management of the company. Leading the delegation from Isuzu was the General Manager of Koncept Autocentre Limited (dealers of Isuzu in Nigeria), Guarav Kaul, and Keisuke Shimoyama, who led the Isuzu team from Japan. Also present in the meeting was the Sola Obabori (Group Managing Director, Red Star Express Plc), Abdulkadir Kogana (Assistant General Manager, and Head of Administration), and Olatunji Ojedokun (Head of Finance, Red Star Logistics).
The meeting was part of the Isuzu team’s visit to Nigeria to explore partnership opportunities. As regards Red Star Express Plc, Isuzu Motors is interested in a partnership that involves the supply of Trucks and other vehicles for the company, especially for Red Star Logistics. Both teams spoke extensively about this and many other areas of possible collaborations between the companies.
Isuzu is very keen to improve its position to become a dominant auto mobile brand in Nigeria, especially in its core competency in the manufacturing of light trucks. By exploring opportunities like the ones discussed with Red Star Express Plc, it believes such partnerships can only ensure this set objective.
